Water Day - Demanding Funds Flow with Legislation

World Water Day was celebrated in Shelburne by asking the federal government to put its money where its legislation is.

Armstrong urged her audience at the celebration to ensure water remains a right and does not become a commodity.  
“Water must be protected for the common good not for individual profit,” Armstrong said. “There an anonymous saying in the Canadian West, water flows uphill towards money.”
