People Power Hike for Public Trails.

Saturday May 29th

Trail Head is on 15 Sideroad between Highway 10 and County Road 11 (just west of County Road 2. , and will follow the abandoned railway track.

Hikes will start at 10 am, organize your own group and hike together. Raise money for your favorite charity.

Water station half way and EMS access available.

The Trail end is Shelburne ON , host of that weekend’s

People Power Gathering, full BBQ supper, vendors market,  midway and live entertainment from 3 pm to 1 am.

Bus will take hikers back to the trial head at predetermined two departure times from the Shelburne Arena.

NDACT.com is sponsoring the event and is charging a $10/hiker fee to raise funds for its continued campaign to build awareness of our natural and public resources and draw attention to the need to protect the same. The unique Honeywood Loam, which produces 60% of Metro Toronto potatoes, and the water aquifer under those soils, is being threatened by the Highlands Group of Companies 2400 acre proposal to establish a Mega Quarry, ripping off the Roof of Ontario.
